Using a brilliant color palette and highly energetic brush stokes, Dahlia Woods paints the world around her. Dahlia’s newest works are inspired by Key West. Dahlia arrived in Key West from Dallas, Texas, where she owed the Dahlia Woods Gallery and showed rising Texas artists, including the mixed media artist Katie Marata and the sculptor Etty Horowitz, as well as her own work.  Dahlia studied art at the High School of Art & Design in NYC, the University of New Hampshire and at Southern Methodist University under the tutelage of the renown painter Bill Komodore.  Her paintings are in the Dallas Mayor’s Office, the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau offices and many private collections.  Dahlia’s color palette is inspired by the Fauvists.

New England Country Scene Backdrop for Key West Fringe Theater. 
The Key West Fringe Theater chose Dahlia to paint a New England Fall countryside scene as the backdrop to the current Fringe Theater production of Edward Albee’s A Delicate Balance, playing at the Key West Customs House Museum (281 Front St) through March 8, 2014.
